Outpatient Services

Aurora Behavioral Health System’s Outpatient Services offer a therapeutic and nuturing environment to support patients who do not require 24-hour care, but still need an intensive level of treatment. Operating programs days, nights and weekends, the programs are designed for patients who are recieving treatment for a mental health or co-occurring disorder.

Often, participation in an outpatient program can help avoid frequent hospitalizations or reduce a patient’s length of stay in the hospital through ongoing monitoring and management of mental health care. Intensive outpatient can be a critical option for a continuum of care beyond the hospital.

We develop a unique treatment plan specifically tailored to each patient in the program. Since we are hospital based, patients have access to a multidisciplinary team of experts that includes physicians, psychiatrists, registered nurses, psychotherapists, and chemical-dependency counselors. Patients and their families are also encouraged to consider themselves part of the “treatment team.” Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan managed by a multidisciplinary treatment team.

We offer both psychiatric and co-occurring programs at various times and days, which focuses on education and coping skills that teach each patient healthy ways of managing their symptoms. The program includes:
