There are times when everyone struggles with some aspect of life. It is during these especially difficult times that an individual might experience symptoms of depression, anxiety or even psychosis. These symptoms can range from a change in sleeping and eating patterns to a depressed or anxious mood, including having thoughts of suicide or harming someone else. Some people will turn to alcohol and drugs to cope. It is during these times that help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

There is a special connection that patients share with each other after experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The Adult Aftercare Program is a complimentary, one-hour support group offered to former Aurora patients for up to one year after discharge.
